On Oct. 25th, the City of Charlottesville hosted live virtual forums for staff and community members as the next step in its Climate Vulnerability Assessment process. An online recording of the community forum and an online input form with the same discussion questions are now available for additional community input.
Description: Charlottesville is likely to see significant change in seasonal patterns, as well as an increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. What sectors, assets, and populations in Charlottesville do you think are most vulnerable to these changes and hazards? We want to hear from a variety of perspectives on this complex and urgent question. Responses from the staff forum, the community forum, and the online input form will be combined to complete this step in the assessment process.
We strongly recommend that attendees pre-view the Climate Hazards recording (~30 min), which provides important background information about this assessment process and the anticipated climate hazards for Charlottesville.
