CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 a.m. Friday. City of Charlottesville government offices will open on a 2-hour delay at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
The City of Charlottesville has its full snow team from Public Works working tonight to clear primary and secondary streets .
Stay off the snowy and icy roads if possible, but if you have to go out remember: Ice and snow, take it slow—slower speed, slower acceleration, slower steering, and slower braking. #WinterSafety.

DELAYS & SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12
- City of Charlottesville government offices - Opening at 10 a.m.
- Charlottesville Circuit Court & Clerk’s Office - Opening at 10 a.m.
- NEW: Charlottesville Area Transit Routes - Detours are in effect for MOST ROUTES. CAT is making adjustments as needed. Please check the app and website for a list of current detours.
- NEW: Trash collection service will NOT be conducted today. Friday trash collection will resume on Saturday. The Uptown and Downtown business routes will receive afternoon collection service.
