A joint statement from the Charlottesville City Council, Charlottesville City Manager, and Charlottesville Chief of Police
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The unrest in the Capitol last week was beyond disturbing, especially to the residents of Charlottesville who saw this exact same hatred in our own streets 3 ½ years ago. We want our community to know that we continue to work closely with our regional, state, and federal law enforcement partners and that we are fully prepared to ensure the safety of Charlottesville. Anyone who observes suspicious activity should dial 911 if you believe it is an emergency.
