Missing Persons Report: 12/27/2022


The Charlottesville Police Department is still seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult, John Milton Harris III. Mr. Harris is a 60-year-old white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall with a medium build, and he suffers from several medical issues. Mr. Harris has been was reported missing on July 9, 2022 and was last seen on July 1, 2022. 

Attached is a photo of Mr. Harris on June 29th, 2022 wearing a blue t-shirt and camo pants.

UPDATE: 1/17/2023


Today, family members of John Milton Harris, III travelled to Charlottesville, VA to speak in front of the press. This engagement provided the family with much needed time and space to voice their concerns regarding their loved one, Mr. Harris. This investigation is still ongoing. CPD and the Harris family ask that if anyone has information regarding his whereabouts, please notify Charlottesville Police Department at (434) 970-3280 or call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000 to submit an anonymous tip.
