Charlottesville Parks & Recreation Offers Fun Summer Programs for Local Youth
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Charlottesville Parks and Recreation will be offering comprehensive and fun summer programs for all local youth ages 5–15, from June 22 – August 12 focusing on extended learning activities along with exciting recreational activities and programs.
Participants will experience traditional camp activities, enrichment clubs, sports, active play, indoor and outdoor games, arts, crafts, nature, and science. Financial assistance is available through our Scholarship Program. More information can be found at www.charlottesville.gov/summercamps.
Summer programs include:
Camp Shenandoah (ages 5-9)
Times: 7:30am–5:30pm
Locations: Burnley Moran, Venable, and Johnson Elementary Schools – June 22 – July 29
Carver Recreation Center – August 1-12
Camp Blue Ridge (ages 9-12)
Times: 7:30am–5:30pm
Locations: Walker Upper Elementary – June 22 – July 29
Key Recreation Center – August 1-12
Camp Skyline (ages 12-15)
Times: 7:30am–5:30pm
Location: Key Recreation Center - June 22 – July 29
Also included in the summer programs is a nutritional breakfast and lunch provided through the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability or age, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals are offered on a first come, first serve basis to anyone 18 and under at the sites and times as follows:

Friendship Court Community Center M, W, F 4:30 – 6:30pm
South 1st Street Community Center M, T, W, F 4:30 – 6:30pm
Westhaven Community Center M, T, W, F 4:30 – 6:30pm
