City Building Permit Division Experiencing Low Staffing Levels
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville Department of Neighborhood Development Services (NDS) is currently experiencing low staffing levels in its building permit division. As a result, there are major delays in the issuance of building permits and inspections.
NDS remains committed to serving all constituents in the community. Every effort is being made to process permits and inspections in the most timely manner possible. The department acknowledges the inconvenience this may cause and appreciates everyone's patience and cooperation during this time. Building and Trade Inspections will not be available May 31 – June 13. Information about submitting third party inspections can be found on the department website at www.charlottesville.gov/nds .
