Public input sought on Comprehensive Plan via survey and virtual meetings
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville is seeking your input to help guide the initial phase of the Comprehensive Plan update process.
The City is working in partnership with a consultant team on a two-year effort to update the city’s Comprehensive Plan (including creation of a focused Affordable Housing Plan) and complete a re-write of the zoning ordinance.
This process, branded Cville Plans Together, is kicking off with a series of virtual dialogues with the community about priorities and goals for the future, particularly as these relate to issues of equity and affordability.
Webinar recordings are available on the website. In addition to ongoing small-group conversations, there is a survey available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Cville1 (and in Spanish at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Cville1e).
Everyone who completes the survey and provides their contact information will be entered in a raffle for one of five $25 Visa gift cards. The survey, which is estimated to take 6-10 minutes to complete, will be available online through June 10. The results of the survey will be shared with the community early this summer.
For those who may prefer another way to provide input, a toll-free phone line is available at (833) 752-6428. Callers can listen to a two-minute project overview (in English or Spanish) and then provide their comments.
