Are you looking for a great way to end your summer? Ultimate Adventure Camp will give your camper the opportunity to enjoy their last few days of summer as we jam-pack the week with field trips! Campers can participate in many different activities as they “ad-venture” out into the Charlottesville community and beyond. The schedule and parent packet will be emailed to all participants in mid-July. The camp fee includes field trip admission, field trip transportation. This camp does not provide transportation for campers to and from camp.
Transportation to and from general summer camp sites will be available through Charlottesville Pupil Transportation. Transportation to and from Ultimate Adventure Camp is not provided.
City residents in need of financial assistance may apply for our scholarship program by mail or online. Scholarship applications must be submitted and approved prior to registration. Scholarship processing takes 7-10 business days.
Our inclusion program provides extra support to campers with disabilities. Campers should have the ability to function with occasional assistance as a member of a group of 10 or more campers. We are not able to provide one-to-one assistance. With your registration, please indicate if you will need accommodations when prompted. A three-week notice is requested in order for the Department to make reasonable accommodations based on individuals needs for successful inclusion.

Most parent questions and concerns are best handled by the Site Director at the location where your child attends camp. You will receive their contact information (email address and phone number) in your “welcome email” prior to the first day of camp. In the event the Site Director is not available, please contact Program Management. Please use the following directory as a guide for contacting Charlottesville Parks & Recreation staff:
A nutritious breakfast and lunch will be provided for each camper through the USDA Summer Food Service Program at no additional charge. If for any reason your child is unable to eat the meal provided by the program, it will be necessary for you to provide your child with lunch. You may also choose to pack your own lunch. Campers must arrive by 9:15 AM to be included in the lunch count.
Transportation to and from general summer camp sites will be available through Charlottesville Pupil Transportation. Transportation to and from Ultimate Adventure Camp is not provided.
Camp will run from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The hours between 8:00 - 9:00 am and 4:00 - 5:00 pm are designated pick up and drop off periods. These times include unstructured playtime. Campers will have breakfast at 9:00 am and then start scheduled activities for the day.
These are decided by the site directors and will be available soon.
We are excited to have field trips back this year! Each summer camp location will have at least one (1) field trip per week along with weekly pool trips. The field trip locations and daily schedules will be sent to parent/guardians closer to the start of summer camp.
In addition to submitting medication information through ePACT, you must complete and sign a Medication Authorization Form before a campsite can accept any medication.
