CPD Arrests Albemarle County Man for Possession of Firearms
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On November 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., Charlottesville Police Detectives in coordination with the Virginia State Police 3A Task Force were alerted to an individual in the 800 block of Hardy Drive who was armed with an AR-15 style rifle and handgun.
Upon responding to the call, detectives confirmed that the suspect was on scene. Contact was made with them near the Westhaven playground while they were holding the firearm in their hand.
As a result, Nyeem Rysuan Hill, 18, of Albemarle County was taken into custody and charged with the following:
- 18.2-308.1:4 - Possession of Firearm While Respondent of Protective Order
- 18.2-308.2 - Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
