New Climate Planning Materials Available

New materials have been posted to the City's website for the Climate Action Plan and the Climate Vulnerability Assessment! 

The new materials are linked directly below. These materials, as well as additional resources and information about the planning processes, are posted on charlottesville.gov/climateplan. 


Climate Action Plan (GHG Emission Reductions):

    • Preliminary Content for the Climate Action Plan (PDF)
      This content was shared as part of the City Council 4/18/2022 work session and was included in the April 20-May 20 Community Survey for public comment. City staff continue to welcome comments and feedback from the public on this content. There will also be an upcoming community town hall workshop.

 

Climate Vulnerability Assessment:

    • Survey Analysis Memo (PDF)
      Analysis and summary from the April 20-May 20 community climate vulnerability assessment survey is now available. This information was included in last week's Staff & Community Workshops as part of the discussion.
    • Community Workshop Recording (online video posted on YouTube)
      Last week's Community Climate Vulnerability Assessment Workshop is available online for viewing. Information from this event and past engagement opportunities will be used to develop the draft Climate Vulnerability Assessment Report for Charlottesville, which will inform the City's future Climate Adaptation Planning Process for later this year. Comments from the public are still welcome. The draft report will be posted for public comment later this summer.
