Key Recreation Center special events

Thank you for considering the Charlottesville Parks & Recreation facilities as possible sites for your special event or meeting. We offer a variety of different spaces available for rental at Key Recreation Center, Tonsler Recreation Center and Carver Recreation Center.

Our recreation centers are excellent venues for:

  • Meetings

  • Reunions
  • Trade shows
  • Training workshops
  • Wedding receptions

Reservation Process

Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance and no later than 30 calendar days before the event, on a space-available basis. Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Facility rental reservations are not guaranteed until payment is received, and the application form signed by the legally responsible party and the specified deposit that will be credited towards your rental fee.

Carver Recreation Center

Carver Recreation Center is now accepting reservations for rentals during regular operating hours only.

  • Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 8:00 pm 
  • Saturday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
