Assistant City Managers
The Assistant City Managers (ACM) administer various programs, oversee the day-to-day operations of City Offices and fill-in for the City Manager in his absence.

Mr. Murphy joined City of Charlottesville staff in 1995 working in Community Attention. He served as Director of Community Attention beginning in 2003 and became Director of Human Services when the department was established in 2010. Mr. Murphy assumed the role of Interim Assistant City Manager in March of 2015 and was promoted to Assistant City Manager in August 2015.

Ms. Beauregard began working for the City of Charlottesville as Budget Manager in 2003 and was promoted to Director of Budget and Performance Management in 2007. Prior to coming to Charlottesville she served as a management and legislative analyst in the City of Hampton, Virginia. In addition to her role as ACM, Ms. Beauregard directs the City's budgeting, strategic planning and performance measurement processes. She was promoted to Assistant City Manager in August 2015.
