Various teams of City department heads and staff are working this summer to start the implementation phase of the Strategic Plan through an Implementation Team process. The purpose of the Implementation Team is to ensure the Strategic Plan is implemented and the City Council and staff are kept informed of progress on the plan and any changes needed to the plan. More specifically, the Implementation Team will:
- Institutionalize, promote and champion the use of the Strategic Plan to more strategically manage the organization
- Facilitate the movement of the organization to a performance-managed organization that makes decisions and allocates resources based on the desired strategic direction of the organization and performance measures data
- Ensure initiatives are successfully implemented within designated timelines by promoting collaboration on initiatives and making needed resources available.
