There will be no Curbside Trash/Recycling Service Monday. Curbside Service will resume Tuesday one day behind schedule. Snow must be removed from City sidewalks by 10 p.m. Monday, December 10
Tax deadline for real estate and personal property taxes extended to December 6
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -Due to the recent declaration by Executive Order of a special day of mourning on December 5, 2018 in honor of Former President George H.W. Bush, the City of Charlottesville has extended the tax deadline for real estate and personal property taxes to Thursday, December 6, 2018.
Due to limited Postal Service activity on December 5, payments postmarked, made in person, or made online on December 6 will be counted as timely, and no late penalty will be assessed.
Both the Treasurer’s Office and the Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office will be opened during normal business hours throughout the remainder of the week
